Since 1980s, rapid urbanization and severe shortage of useful land in urban area accelerated suburbanization in metropolitan region. Because of the congestion of the inner city, suburban housing demands is increasing.
The purpose of this study is to recommend the housing development tool that is helpful to fulfill increasing suburban housing demands and to solve the regional problems such as lacks of public service and housing infrastructure.
In the suburban region, high-density housing developments gave negative effects on the rural land-use in various aspects, and zoning was not successful for improving residental environment in the rural or suburban region. Hence this study examined new suburban development method through fabricating the urban service supplying network and community facility. Referring to several geographical analysis tool and town design methodology, the planning process of the urban service networking and the precept of allocating public facility on the service network will be established.
