Lin bu (AC 967-1028), styling Junfu, was born in Qiantang (City of Hangzhou, Zhejiang). As a child, he was lonely and calm, but he studies hard, loved reading about the ancient, loved writing poems, and was good at cursive handwriting. In his early years, he roamed about the region between the Yangtze River and Huai River, and eventually returned to Hangzhou and became a hermit. He lived in the cottage on the Gu hill at West Lake. In his whole life, he was unmarried and wasn’t an official. He enjoyed planting plums and raising cranes so much that he was granted the gracious name “plum’s wife and crane’s son.” Lin bu got well known for his nobility and being good at writing poems. As a result, he stayed touch with many leading celebrities and important officials, some of who were fan zhongyan, Wei yaocheng, and cheng yaozuo. They wrote back and forth, and recited poems with him. During the Dazhong xiangfu years, the emperor zhenzong in Song Dynasty granted him cotton and silks and sent officials visit him with gifts yearly when he heard of Lin bu. Lin bu lived in the poverty in his life and died in sixth year of Renzong dasheng (AC 1028) when he was granted Mr.Hejing. Nowadays there are four volumes of Mr.Lin hejing’s collection of poems. Lin bu was a unique poet in North Song Dynasty so that we should concern about the publication and dissemination of his collection of poems. In the terms of the knowledge, this paper studies the publication and dissemination of the collection of poems and the dissemination of other his works. First, study of the publication of Mr.Lin hejing’s Collection of Poems in North Song Dynasty and South Song Dynasty; secondly, study the dissemination of Mr.Lin hejing’s Collection of Poems in Yuan and Qing Dynasty; thirdly, study of other Lin’s works and associated works.
