Conflict has both eufunction and dysfunction. In reality our society has tendency toward negative effects of conflict. Of course this is mostly the situation with organizational, group and policy(public) conflicts. But for these conflicts to be rationally managed, there must be an correct understanding of the individual psychological conflict.
Conflict itself neither good or bad. The core problem is according to how one manages conflicts the positive or negative effects of the conflicts would be brought into relief.
In this research psychological conflict was classified into frustration conflict, goal conflict, role conflict, decision making conflict, and according to this classification rational conflict management strategies were presented.
The correct understanding of patterns and management strategies of psychological conflict will contribute in managing organizational, group and policy conflicts.
