The purpose of this study is to purpose the need of Economic Free Zone in Korea and successful implementation plans with focus on Kun-San area, of which is growing as center of West-Coast side with help of recent West-Coast Highway Opening and Saeman Kum Project.
The rational of Kun-San/JeonBuk being assigned as Economic Free Zone is that
1) From the economic sense point of view, the land has already been secured and developed appropriately
2) The territory is very close to Main China geographically
3) It possesses enormous growth potential as Mega Hub-port
4) The area could be differentiated more cohesively because scale of the regional economy is relatively small.
