Yoon Dong-kyu(尹東奎) who was born in Yongsan(龍山), Seoul is the best disciple of S?ngho(星湖) Yi Ik(李瀷). In 1711, when he was 17 years old, he became the disciple of S?ngho and distinguished himself to establish the school of S?ngho(星湖學派) with his master S?ngho. He practiced and executed the way of the self-acquirement(自得), which was the lesson of his master, S?ngho and also, he followed the way of S?ngho's lesson, new confucianism(性理學). He did not write many books for his life to attach weight to study and execute his studying. So, he has not been acknowledged as the scholar of practical science from the academical people of later ages. However, the underestimation should be revaluated. And, he is one of the important people to be conducted researches about the school of s?ngho in succession.
