This study, first, shows that the quality of stress, i.e., loudness, pitch, length used for realization of English stress, is mainly dependent on the frequency as like Standard Chinese. The finding implies that, while primary stress is equivalent to tone 1, both secondary stress and length are corresponded to tone 2. But research reveals that stress does not play a role in accepting English loanwords in Standard Chinese.
Secondly, this study, regarding both stress and length have no close relation with tone in English loanwords, analyzes that there are differences in the distribution of disproportion between syllables and tone in Standard Chinese. And Chinese Character that has semantic symbols also leads to this.
