There were many kinds of buildings in Gungseong(a palace castle) of Gaegyeong. A ceremony hall, Cheondeokjeon(Geondeokjeon) was originated from 'qian gua' of 《Yijina》, which stands for the sky. Geondeokjeon was renamed as Daegwanjeon named after 'guan gu a' of 《Yijine》 for the just policy for people. A ceremony hall, Hoigyeongjeon(Seongyeongjeon) based on 'qian gua' had the meaning that congratulations on the important Buddhist service. A bed hall. Shindeokjeon was also related with 'qian gua' which was renamed as Mannyeongjeon, Mansuieon, Yeongsujeon on the basis of 'longevity', one of five lucks in 《Shujine》 Hongfan.
Sangjeongjeon or Seonjeongjeon as an office hall included the letter ‘political affairs(政)’. where they discussed eight political affairs of 《Shujing》 Hongfan. It was reformed to Huninjeon for comforting people after the rebellions in the King Injong reign and then called as Seoninjeon soon. An other office hall, Junggwanggeon named with a lot of light symbolizing Budha was used as the place where the ritual of lotus lamps was held. During the reign of Injong it was renamed as Ganganjeon by the influence of Confucianists. related with comfort and peace which is one of five lucks in 《Shujing》 Hongfan.
The gates in front of Hoigyeongjeon consisted of five gates including Gwanghwamun of Hwangseong(an imperial castle) according to the palace system of empire. the arrangement and names of buildings in Gungseong was put together to circulate with four virtues(yuan-heng-li-zhen) of 'qian gua'. 'yuan' coming in through Gwanghwa Gate flowed into Gungseong through Seungpyeong Gate, transformed into 'heng' at Hoigyeongjeon. resulted in 'li', 'zhen' at Janghwageon in its north. And on the way to Wondeokjeon in its north 'yuan' gained strength again, connected to Geondeokjeon in its west and then the four virtues of qian gua were circulated again. Also yuan→heng→li→zhen was circulated with corresponding to Donghwamun in the east→Seungpyeongmun in the south→Seohwamun in the west→Hyeonmumun in the north at Gungseong.
