This paper examined the korean traditional costume shape which is described in CHUHYANGGA, and how the costume acts on the characterization of its owner and how the tow internal categories of it act on the characterization of total costume. The total costume is constituted of the subjective and objective. The subjective costume is constituted of the several spirit and action of decorated character and the objective is constituted of the figurative forms of color and line, cloth, materials etc.
In case of the characterization of its owner and total costume, the subjective costume leads essentially and the objective costume follows it. Just then the objective costume acts in a material basic and the character of its contents changes from the vague character to the special in context.
In the concrete this paper examined the tree costumes in CHUHYANGGA. They are the costumes of CHUHYANG tortured or throwed into prison, having a swing, and the costumes of LEEMONGLYONG commissioned in secret.
Actively The tragic characters of total costume and tortured CHUHYANG are characterized by the category of the subjective costume and spirit, action. Passively the objective costume serves in.
