This article is researched on a gender problem, related with femininity as a factor of gender in Russia’s culture and social history from the ancient times to the Post-Soviet period.“Femininity” has been great significance in Russian history since, when it comes to femininity, Russia is so special traditionally.
Generally speaking, the image of Russian female has seemed to have a strong personality. This is the usual gender stereotype in Russian woman’s personality. It is related with the cult of a matriarchy culture in Russian history, which is caused by the traditional religion and philosophy. There have been problems with the asymmetry of a gender.
The purpose of this article is to research the periodic image of the gender in Russian society. In here, I will cover Russian women and men, who have distinctive gender identity under the gender system in their society, including history of philosophy, related with femininity as a factor of gender in Russia for analyzing. This socio-cultural study is based on the concept in Post-Structuralism and a feminist’s point of view for critical analysis. There is used a documentary analysis as a method.
It is necessary to do away with the problematic gender stereo-typing. Ultimately, this is proposal to reform the suitable and the balanced doing gender in present day Russia.
