This research was to conducted to analyze a formal meaning and difference of dance in shaman ritual of two regions. Shamanism is a total ritual of praying to god for accomplishing their wish and solving their problem by a shaman, a mediator of god and human being.
A shaman is classified into , Kangsinmu' and 'Sesupmu' according to region. Kangsinmu is the case of exercising directly a god and Sesupmu is the case of becoming a shaman in order to maintain family tradition without an ability of exercising god.
Shaman ritual has a total artistic form with dance, music and play element. Dance in the shaman ritual has a ritual, ecstasy, and amusement element, so it has a enough value to be researched in the modem dance aesthetic.
