The problem of drug abuse in the youth has been increased since 1970 and now it becomes serious as much to approach to the level of drug intoxication.
The fact that the drug abuse in the youth has been significantly increased and the age of the drug abuse becomes younger is the detrimental problem not only to the health of an individual but also to the society as a whole. This study is to analyze the situation of drug abuse in the youth and to help the governmental authority to set up the policy to prevent the drug abuse of the youth.
We suggest the following based upon our study.
First, By educating the children in the elementary school preventing drug abuse, prevent the trend of drug abuse becoming young aged.
Second, Since the youth with misdemeanor or working at job shows the higher rate of drug abuse, it is necessary to more actively educate and administer these youth.
Third, Since the female shows the higher increase rate of drug abuse, it is necessary to specifically administer the prevention program of drug abuse for female students.
Fourth, Since the cheap priced and easily accessible drugs such as BOND, NIECE, and GAS are mostly widely used drugs in the youth, it is necessary to strictly administer the distribution and sale of these drugs.
Fifth, It is necessary to administer the place to buy the drug such as South Gate Market as well as the pharmacy.
Sixth, The whole society should appreciate the responsibility to do efforts to establish the healthy society.
