It is essential for Korea to utilize local trade agencies because she is heavily dependent on foreign countries in case of arms importation.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the application realities of local trade agencies and present the efficient improvement plans. To meet the purpose, I present the results of application realities comparison of military local trade agencies between Korea and ten foreign countries including the USA and analysis of local trade agencies from the side of demander and supplier. I also present the positive function activation plans and opposite function control plans as well as management plans of local trade agencies.
In conclusion, I suggest that the Korean government should activate the positive functions such as delivery of her requirement and bottleneck items to foreign companies and should control the illegal lobbies and outflowing military secrets. In addition, the Korean government should manage the military local trade agencies not by selling amount but by price base such as high price items and low price ones.
