This paper presents a voltage-mode differential Tx driver with capacitive coupling equalization. Because the additional equalization taps are connected to the I/Os through capacitors, the impedance mismatching is not considerably disturbed while ISI is effectively suppressed. The proposed driver is implemented using a 130㎚ CMOS technology. Simulation results show that it can achieve voltage margin of 120 ㎷ and timing margin of 0.75 UI at 10Gb/s data rate.
