The purpose of this paper is to discuss of local government through sport contents development. To achieve the goal, reviewed sport resources of Andong city and SWOT analyzed in sport industry. This study also analyzes and explains various local issues in sport through central paradigm of sport-cultural industry.
It is necessary to understand newly-developed sport contents which significantly explain various local phenomena and cultures in contemporary in Andong.
Therefore the results were drawn as follows. Local government should be recognized as sports contents which are related to the region, and the development of sport tourism, leisure, and culture. Sport contents should develop income source to minimize the effects of recession and expand diverse sport infra.
The effective way to promote sport contents is to hold diverse sports events, which should satisfy multi-purpose of sport industry in local. In addition, it needs to be launched as a brand which has its own special icon. It is important to promote connecting integration of sport resources among sports industry, and academy, private, authorities should establish cooperation environment
