This paper deals with the accommodation process in terms of accessibility within a world-context model. Based on the framework of the satisfaction theory and the dynamic discourse?functional model, the sites and the principles of accommodation are discussed. The cases of informative presupposition or presupposition under the attitude or hypothetical contexts have been controversial. The concept of prospective?common ground is proposed to deal with the defective states of presupposition. which becomes common ground via the accommodation process. This paper focuses on the aspect of presupposition as the propositional attitude of the discourse participants with regard to the associated world and context. The conditions of global and local accommodation in the attitude contexts are presented.
