The paper aims to figure out the level of multiple criminal victimization, personal or social characteristics of multiple criminal victimization groups, and causal factors of multiple victimization, analysing the data of Korean Crime Victim Survey in 2008. Multiple victimization defined as a situation that the individual is the victim of two or more crimes regardless the crime type within a given year.
166 people, 1.6% of the sample, experienced multiple victimization within last year, and they experienced about 30% of all the crimes which people in the sample had. Each of multiple victimization groups(multiple household victim, multiple personal victim, multiple household and personal victim) shows some differences in personal or social characteristics. To find out the factors to cause multiple victimization, nominal regression analysis method were used. As a result, factors which affected the process people became single victim had similar effects to the process which single victim became multiple victim.
