Our Criminal Law was enacted and promulgated on September 18, 1953 (Law No. 293), and it was revised total 8 times up to now.
The 3d revision in 1995 was most extensive revision in these 8 times. It is influenced by criminal law revision work of the "Criminal Law Revision Special Committee" that is established 1985 in ten years. But the revision 1995 is not enough.
Up to recently from 1995, criminal law's individual provisions reform bills about more than 30 times were submitted to the National Assembly. But, until a recent from 1995 criminal law's individual provisions were revised total 3 times.
Therefore, this report examined criminal law's individual provisions reform bills after 1995 that were suggested to the National Assembly but were abrogate or are still pending, and reviewed their discussion trend.
And this report examined recent tendency to Amendment of Criminal Law in major advanced countries that is Japan, Germany, France.
