George Orwell's political perspective on the world was democratic socialism with no class. He underwent this kind of equal relationship in Catalonia during the Spanish Civil War. As Raymond Williams pointed out, socialism was secondary to George Orwell, who was positioned as an anti-imperialist and anti-fascist as well as an adherent of equality. He attributed the rise and prevalence of fascism to the crisis of the working class and retreat of socialism. He asserted that if they had had no socialist party, fascism would have gained power.
Even though he emphasized correlation between fascism and socialism, he lacked in scientific comparison and analysis of the two. Considering himself a socialist, George Orwell didn't distinguish Nazism from totalitarian Russia under Stalin. In this process, his works were manipulated ideologically by anti-communists.
