Warrant are issued in U.S. and U.K. and Canada and Australia and Japan. Also, in korea, warrant is allowed under corporation law. But warrant of korea is detachable bond with warrant and stock option.
Warrant frequently is issued as sweeteners in connection with the distribution of a debt of preferred stock offering. This is issued in a reorganization to holders of a class of security not otherwise recognized in the reorganization. Also, this is a corporate instruments in the process of mergers and acquisitions.
If warrant is to be introduced to the korean corporation law, korea will revise sections of corporation law. For example, these are stock option, bond with warrant, convertible bond. Futhermore, corporation law is going to enact transferring, listing, price of exercise, registration of warrant.
