The main purpose of this research is to inscribe problems of the description of language of North Korean in Korean dictionaries. There are a few dictionaries that explain the language of North Korean. Therefore this research examined descriptions of language of North Korean in the Korean dictionaries Focusing on Pyojlln-Gugeo-Daesajeon. Language of North Korean is considered as one of part of registers: use district. Taking a view of the macro-structure of dictionary description, The entry of The Language of North Korean in Pyojun-Gugeo-Daesajeon was refered to The entry of Jo-Seon-Mal-Daesajeon. Therefore there are some errors that the words chosen as Language of North Korean though they are used in South Korea. Even in the micro-structural aspect, it can be seen that North Korean is described systematically different from South Korean in both explanation and sample sentences of an entry. Hence, in order for South Korean dictionary to have a consistent description of entry words, the description system of North Korean in Pyojlln-Gligeo-Daesajeon should be modified. Furthermore, taking the reality to consider North Korean dictionary into account, the description system for North Korean entry words in other dictionaries should consider these matters. Finally, this research suggest synthetic structure of dictionaries in order to improve descriptions of dictionary.
