The aim of this study is to develop the measuring items for sports event service quality and analyze the relationship among the participants’ satisfaction, local image and behavioral intension in order to enhance the efficiency of sports event.
To achieve the aim of this study, I carried out a survey of the 13th Korea International Walking Festival held in Wonju city. Analysis showed that the sports event service quality consisted of 4 units 20 items, such as application for entry(4 items), Walking courses(5 items), environment of Walking site(5 items), event management(6 items).
The hypotheses of this study verify that the sports event service quality has affirmative effects on the participants’ satisfaction and the local image but it does not have direct effects on the behavioral intension. The participants’ satisfaction has affirmative effects on the local image and the behavioral intension. and the local image has affirmative effects on the local image.
