The recognition that ‘God isthe principal agent of creation’(cf. Gen 1:1-2:25; 5:1-2; Deut 4:32; Job 4:17; Ps 89:12; Eph 3:9; Heb 4:3) appears through the recognition that the origin of life is in God.
In Ps 8:5b(cf. PsMT 8:6b) it shows the expression of WhrEJ.[;T. rd"h"w> dAbk"(“You crowned him with glory and honor.”) ‘nobility of life given to Human being’.
Even God, through Jeremiah, (Jer 31:35) reveals the glorious figure as the Creator. This image of the Creator appears consistently in Israel’s thought of creation, that‘God is the Creator of all creation’.
This recognition of creation expresses the Preciousness of Man’s life well.
The New Testament shows that Christ works together with God in Creation (cf. Joh 1:3; Col 1:15-16).
In Philippians 2:6 Paul makes clear the natural divinity of Christ as the word “Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God”.
When man searchesfor the origin of life, man sees in that God’s creativity is active in it. This Life thought is the grounds of hope.
Hope is the essential element for understanding ‘Life thoughts’. Hope becomes the ‘Light of lives’ in the dark reality man often encounter.
The mention of ‘Put your hope in God’ in Psalms 42:5 makes it clear that God is ‘the reason of Hope’. “Blessed is he whose hope is in his God”(Ps 146:5).
Jeremiah calls God as ‘the hope of Israel’(Jer 17:13a; 50:7). Ezekiel says that God’s Spirit can create anew in places where there is no hope (Ez 37:11). When God’s Spirit works, it reveals new hope, and new life is achieved.
Jesus who is ‘the Lord of hope’, is also ‘the light of life’. For this reason Christ is ‘the Lord of life’(Act 3:15). Because God who is the ‘Hope of Israels’ is ‘the fountain of life’ we should not see dark the reality of the present but the hope beyond the reality. God of Hope, who produces life, is the origin of life.
