This paper explores the application of UCC model production and its utilization for enhancing elementary school students’ English listening and speaking abilities. Fifty-three 4th grade elementary school students from a small city in Gyeonggi-do took part in this study. To develop a model the fourth grade English curriculum was first analyzed and restructured. UCC production and utilization consisted of two classes. In the first class, situation-based play writing activities and situation-based play practices were conducted. Recording video clips, watching the video clips, and discussion sessions were included in the second class. The effects of the UCC producing and utilizing instructional classes applied to the students on their English skills and affective domains were found to have made a little contribution to enhance students’ English abilities, especially in speaking and their affective domains, in increasing the students’ participation in the class. Based on the findings and the conclusion of the research, a few suggestions were made for effective operational planning of the UCC producing and utilizing instructional classes in the future.
