The purpose of this study is to provide an effective and creative class strategy by applying teaching method to University Physical Exercise Class and study its effect using ARCS motivation promotional strategy of Keller (1983). For the subject of study, 29 students out of 32 male and female students who take basketball class during second semester of 2012 at Y University were selected to collect the data based on the in-depth interview and open questionnaires and reflection joumal of author.
As A result, in attention (A), formation of class expectation according to the type of new orientation, exact understanding of basketball knowledge with cartoon as a medium and their own basketball festival which united them as one dick were observed, In relevance (R) strategy, forming bonds, challenge to new area, acquire certificate and watching basketball game at weekend were shown. Next, in confidence (C) strategy, playing basketball with heart not height, distinction not discrimination, game with changed rules and regulation, judger on the court and becoming a judger were observed. Lastly, in satisfaction (S) strategy, new start point of leisure sports, development to new leisure, all-round nutrition and physical education activity were appeared. Therefore, it is observed that teacher"s activity strategy is one of key factors to promote academic motivation between teacher and learners.
