The purpose of the study is to determine the proper intensity of recovery exercise to more rapidly remove lactate, the causing material of exercise fatigue. The subjects were imposed with interval anaerobic exercise to the degree of exhaustion, and then performed continuous recovery exercise which was set to 30%, 40%, and 50% of the maximal exercise capacity, for 30 minutes. During recovery exercise including at rest and right after exhaustion exercise, blood was sampled from fingers 8 times in 5 minute interval, and lactate concentration of blood was analyzed using lactate analyzer. Change of blood lactate concentration to intensity of recovery exercise and shift of recovery rate were correlated. Summing up the results from this and previous studies, bloodlactate concentration during the recovery exercise occurred at 40% level of recovery exercise intensity as recovery time passed, and next came in 50% and 30% order. Recovery from lactate didn`t show a pattern as times went by, but it was observed that therecovery could be possibly the highest at 40% exercise intensity. Thus, it is thought that recovery exercise at 40% level of maximal exercising capacity brings the quickest recovery from fatigue after maximal exercise to exhaustion.
