The purpose of this study was to analyze the educational effect of Portfolio Assessment types on accomplishment motive in physical education. That is, I analyzed the accomplishment motive that is related to the Option-Type Portfolio Assessment(OTPA), which is selected according to learner`s interest·concern·value necessity to respect the student emphasis learning the than the teacher emphasis learning and to the Subscription-Type Portfolio Assessment(STPA), which is related to learner`s subscription for accomplishment level to stimulate the learner`s psychological variation toward achievement motive and to the Notice-Type Portfolio Assessment(NTPA), which is related to the maximal offer of learning opportunity to learner by guidance of assessment unit. I manufactured OTPA·STPA·NTPA Portfolio Assessment types and applied to sixth year students of fundamental school and then analyzed the psychological effect. I analyzed the effect of subordinate factor·ANOVA·the types of educational effect·correlation by use of SAS Package(Window ver 6.11). Especially, I verified the effect of the accomplishment motive of success intent and of the accomplishment motive of failure intent on learner in psychological viewpoint. The results were follows: First, the effect of Portfolio Assessment types of physical education on accomplishment motive was high in OTPA·STPA·NTPA in the order of ranking. Second, the accomplishment motive of success intent was similar in OTPA·STPA and in STPA·NTPA. Third, the effect of the accomplishment motive of success intent on group relation was significant. Fourth, the effect of Portfolio Assessment types on the accomplishment motive of failure intent in physical education was high in NTPA·OTPA·STPA type in the order of ranking. Fifth, the accomplishment motive of failure intent was similar in OTPA·STPA·NTPA type. Sixth, the accomplishment motive of success intent was related significantly each other, but there was not significant relationship in the accomplishment motive of failure intent.
