The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of Dan - jun breathing training and sport activities the youths' mental health. In this study, 60 third year junior high school boys volunteered as subjects. They were randomly assigned to one of three groups, Dan - jun breathing training group (20 males), Basketball training group (20 males), and the control group (20 males). They had 9 weeks of training 3 times a week and 60 minutes a day. Dan - jun breathing training group were asked to practice Dan - jun breathing in the classroom. Basketball training group learned and played basketball skills. And the control group spent their time studying in the classroom while other two groups were doing their own required tasks. Based on 9 weeks of implementation, Dan - jun breathing training and basketball training helped improve physical and mental health. So, it is concluded that Dan - jun Breathing training, a kind of mental therapy is almost the same effective as the sport pragrams. In this respect, in the educational settings, a lot of physical and mental programs should be developed and provided to the youngsters to meet their physical needs and to fulfill their potentials.
