The purpose of this study is to define an influence which visual skills by characteristics training program has on Batting Performance. In order to examine this, with 60 high school students who hadn't had any experience as baseball players, an experiment was made, First, they were divided into control group (12) and experiment group(48) and then the latter was classified into four group with 12 respectively in each group' dynamic visual acuity training group, focus flexibility training group. Eye - hand coordination training group, and visual reaction training group. Control group and experiment group had a batting form training 20 min a day and 4 times per a week by same coach. Experiment group, however, had a visual skills by characteristics training 20 min a day and 4 times per week. Evaluation items were a management grade through 10 times bunt and a batting average through 20 times batting. Through analyzing data from above planned experiment for 12 weeks, I got some results as follows, In case of visual skills by characteristics training to improve a bunt accuracy, eye-hand coordination training and visual reaction training were more effective by 4 weeks and eye-hand coordination training were more effective from 4 weeks to 12 weeks. And in case of visual skills by characteristics training to improve a batting average, dynamic visual acuity training, focus flexibility training. Eye - hand coordination training, and visual reaction training were effective by 4 weeks,' eye-hand coordination training and visual reaction training were more effective from 4 to 8 weeks,' dynamic visual acuity training were more effective from 8 to 12 weeks. Through analyzing data from above planned experiment for 12 weeks, I got some results as follows', In case of visual skills by characteristics training to improve a bunt accuracy, eye-hand coordination training and visual reaction training were more effective by 4 weeks and eye-hand coordination training were more effective from 4 weeks to 12 weeks. And in case of visual skills by characteristics training to improve a batting average, dynamic visual acuity training, focus flexibility training. eye-hand coordination training, and visual reaction training were effective by 4 weeks,' eye-hand coordination training and visual reaction training were more effective from 4 to 8 weeks', dynamic visual acuity training were more effective from 8 to 12 weeks. As a result, I think that it is more effective to have different visual skills by characteristics training according to training periods, even though practice performance tasks are same. And I also confirm that though it is same item, it is more effective to have a visual skills by characteristics training which carries out each proper item according to types of practice performance tasks.
