Target of this study was selected as members aged 20 or higher of badminton clubs in cities G and P of Gyeongsangbuk-do as of November 2008. Stratified cluster random sampling was used to extracted subjects. 20 members receiving badminton lessons at 15 badminton clubs in cities G and P were chosen for a total of 300 subjects. Two assistants who were trained to conduct survey directly visited the selected badminton clubs and conducted survey before beginning of their lessons. After sufficiently explaining the purpose of this study and asking for their cooperation, survey was performed according to self-administration method. Among recollected surveys, 36 responses with unfaithful answers or omission were excluded. 264(88%) responses were accepted as effective samples. SPSS WIN 15.0 was used to process data in this study, and frequency analysis was performed to examine demographic characteristics. Exploratory factor analysis was done to test the feasibility of survey and cronbach`s α was computed for reliability analysis. Correlation analysis was also performed to find the relationship between variables. To find the difference in lesson selection property according to demographic characteristics, t-test and one-way ANOVA were done and post-hoc test was done using duncan test. Multiple regression was used to examine the effect of lesson selection on purchasing behavior, and significance level was verified at the level of p<.05. The following conclusion was obtained from the above experimental methods. First, factors of badminton lesson selection including facility, cost, instructor, program and atmosphere had significant influence. Second, facility, cost, instructor and atmosphere had significant effect on intention to re-purchase and intention to recommend the lesson to others. Program did not influence intentions to re-purchase and recommend. Synthesizing the results, badminton club members place importance on excellent facility, low price, best service, diverse programs and comfortable atmosphere when selecting a private lesson. Therefore, instructors are required to find out the services that satisfy club members and provide diverse, differentiated and beneficial services. Service quality must be improved so that the members can be satisfied with badminton lessons and can recommend the lesson to others.
