The purpose of this study was to determine the level of prelimnai ry sport instructor``s teacher empowermentin an inclusive physical education environment. Two hundrde ninety four PE major students participatedin this study. Among the 294 students, 80 was APE major studesn,t 105 was PE major students, and 109 wa sother PE major students. All participants completed the Physical Educator Empowerment Scale(PEES; Yun,2011) questionnaire to compare the level of empowerment to demographic informations such as gender,major, taking APE course, teaching persons with disabilities, rgade. For statistical treatment, SPSS 20.0 statist-ical program was used. Based on the analyses of the data using Spearman correlation and one-way MANOVA,the results were as follows. First, strong positive correlations were determined for all six dimensions of teacherempowerment(decision making, professional growth, status, self-efficacy, autonomy, and impact). Second, thelevel of empowerment was no significant difference compared gender, and grade. Third, the level of empowermentwas significant difference compared major, taking APE cuorse, and teaching persons with disabilities . Based on the results of this study, university curriculum for the general physical educator teaching programneeds to be modified to prepare sport instructor at the presericve level to effectively function in inclusionaryenvironments.
