Although 〈Watashi[I]〉 is conscious of death by a sense of crisis in the time when it rushed into the World War, it advocates "Do not worry about tomorrow" of Jesus Christ, and has feelings which are valid in "now." Since the elementary school teacher who worries about the problem which goes to an army feels the tension under wartime from experience being the same as that of 〈me〉 and is trying to make a living "now" to fullness, he can understand 〈I〉 uncanny efforts and reveals his loneliness. So, 〈I〉 is not covered with "nothingness" and "resignation."
The interpretation of "Bridegroom" becomes very important the case where the point which uses the posture of 〈me〉 as "a groom"s heart" is taken into consideration. One is the point that there is joy in the 〈groom〉interpretation in "Matthew 9:14-17" of "Seisyochisiki", and the meaning of the criticism to the religion consciousness and hypocrisy which were distorted is put. The heart that it is pleased with what fears "tomorrow", and today when both "Bridegroom(s)" are, and must live enduringly is also read. The other one is a point by which the situation of "the strain and urgency of a situation in the moment of the preparation "last which can greet Christ who comes to this world again" is also shown in the "Bridegroom" interpretation in "Matthew 25:1-13" of "Seisyochisiki." From the language of yes explained as it waiting for Christ to have been to this world again eagerly, the meaning of "The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them" will be thrown into relief. If 〈I〉 =〈Bridegroom〉= 〈Christ who comes to this world again〉 is considered, 〈I〉 will be able to read, even if it is telling the hope to the reproduction called reviving and coming to this world again someday, although the bottom of wartime is lived.
It is thought that "Bridegroom" was written from the above thing while it echoed a sense of crisis to Japan which rushed into the world game for each other closely with Dazai Osamu sense of crisis and it set the feeling of tension adrift. However, in a work, the feelings which do their best in this time today, and are honestly valid can say that it is the work which oozed out more strongly.
