The purpose of this study is to comapatively analyze the differences between two Patients of ba-construction and Patient-Subject construction(PSC) in information In modern Chinese, they are special construction in which their Patients precede verbs. It is said that some ba-constructions can be changed into PSC through the deletion of ba, and simultaneously the active voice into the passive voice. And this paper argues that there also occurs an information change between two Patients of ba-construction and PSC. In this paper, the information indicates "definiteness" and "non-definiteness" which is caused by context -dependency. That is, the higher context-dependency is, the stronger the definiteness of the Patient is. This paper shows the obvious differences between two Patients of ba-construction and PSC through the following arguments : (1) a subject is more context-dependent than an object, (2) ba-construction and PSC have a tendency to take a complement after a verb, (3) there is obvious difference between the Patients of ba-construction and PSC. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Patient of PSC is more definitive than that of the ba-construction.
