The purpose of this research was to find housing importance, awareness and preferences about sharehouse among university students who living apart from their parents. Social survey research using questionnaire was conducted among university students in Seoul, Korea during Oct.17~31, 2013. The data were analyzed using statistics like frequency, factor analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA and regression analysis with SPSS 18.0 statistical program.
Major findings were as follows : firstly, respondents had higher housing importance on economic aspect, comfort properties, access to transportation facilities in order. Secondly, the recognition about sharehouse and intention to live in showed low level. Thirdly, most respondents needed inexpensive sharehouse than existing house stock.
In conclusion, for spreading out sharehouse, promotion by the housing authority and providing with competitive price and proper accessibility to the university might be required.
