This study is based on "Decorative and Dreaming Restroom" project co-hosed Seoul Metropolitan City and Education Adminstration. It investigated from two cases of schools restroom project, in color image analysis and satisfaction research of user prefer color applied restroom improved through children participatory design process. The purpose of the study is to research user preference color from survey and look up the color application of the space and to find efficiency of children participatory design. Method of study is to do theory based research about concepts and process of participatory design and color analysis process and result of the design. It was obtained the following as results: first, it was found from survey that the rainbow color is the children" favorite one for the space. Second, ceiling has higher value and lower chroma and partition wall has higher chroma after process. Third, every restroom had been "natural" and "pure" in IRI image scale. After construction, younger elementary students" restroom added "gorgeous" image, and middle schooler"s restroom added "elegance" image. Partition color of middle schooler"s had lower chroma than elementary school one. Forth, gender division in restroom color analysis is meanless in formal. Last, middle schooler"s satisfaction of the brand new restroom is lower than elementary students in post occupied evaluation. Participatory group"s satisfaction is higher than unknown group. It was confirmed that user preferred color is applied to the space, and the most pleasing part of the improved space was color of the space. Since participatory group has higher satisfaction than unknown group, it is insisted that participatory design is to increase user satisfaction.
