The purpose of this study is to understand the operational experience of job offer type social enterprises and to propose guidelines for strengthening competitiveness and sustainability of job offer type social enterprise. For this purpose, data were gathered through in-depth interviews with five representatives of C province’s job offer type social enterprises and analysed by case study methods. In within-case analysis, each case was introduced and experience of the social enterprise operation of each company representative was described. The cross-case analysis, the main issues related to the operation of the job offer type professional social enterprise were analyzed and categorized them into sub-themes and themes. The sub-themes that have emerged through case study were ‘challenge in poorly prepared situations’, ‘hold on to vocation awareness’, ‘democratic decision-making through communication’, ‘customer satisfaction management to offset weak capital and price competitiveness’, ‘ability to survive in the market’, ‘low labor productivity’, ‘low motivation due to low wage structure’, ‘flexible approach to moral hazard’, ‘perfunctory consulting’, ‘create synergies with the network’. And these were integrated into four themes, ‘being a social entrepreneur’, ‘strengthen business capacity’, ‘ growing with poor human resources’, ‘using and solidifying external resources’. Based on the results of this study, practical and policy guidelines for supporting the job offer type social enterprises were proposed.
