Report Errors
The facility noise of apartment house in Korea is a living noise which has lots of civil complaint in the second place to floor impact sound. Especially, the drainage noise at the balcony of existing apartment house is influenced at the main room or living room because it is exposed to outside of the building in balcony drainpipe structure different with new balcony drainpipe structure, so the noise reduction plan is urgently necessary. Based on the result of hearing test and measurement on each part of the drainpipe to reduce the drainage noise, the noise at the lowest part connected the drainpipe and drain is highest according to the structural characteristics of balcony drainpipe of existing apartment house connected as vertically. In this research, drain cover was manufactured to reduce the noise of drain part which is lowest part of drainpipe. By manufacturing 1<SUP>st</SUP> drain cover, the drainage noise reduction performance at the drain part of the drainpipe was verified by application test. 2<SUP>nd</SUP> drain cover was manufactured in consideration of installation convenience of drainage drain gave a priority in the possibility of commercialization for the real application on the existing apartment house. The drainage noise reduction performance of 2<SUP>nd</SUP> drain cover was verified through the site application test.
