The purpose of this study was to examine the stress and resilience of junior golf players. Stress is one of psychological disturbing factors for junior golf players, and resilience is to keep helping them to maintain mental and physical health even in stressful situations. The subjects in this study were the junior golf players in secondary schools that were located in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province and registered with Korea Junior Golf Association. After a survey was conducted, the answer sheets from 380 respondents were analyzed. As for data analysis, a statistical package SPSS WIN 21.0 was employed. Statistical data on frequency and percentage were obtained, and Cronbach α and t-test and one-way ANOVA were utilized. The findings of the study were as follows: First, there were no statistically significant differences according to sex in stress and resilience. Second, there were no statistically significant differences according to the grade of school in stress and resilience. Third, no statistically significant differences were found according to the level of participation in stress, but there were significant differences in resilience according to that. Fourth, statistically significant differences were found in both of stress and resilience according to the period of participation. The findings of the study are expected to lay the foundation for the establishment of a support system and the development of programs to help junior golf players to cope with stress and bolster their resilience.
