The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between cumulative risk factors and children’s behavior problem in poverty, comparing of children in non-poverty. Four-hundred-thirty-eight middle school students from the Korea Welfare Panel Study was analyzed for the study. Children’s behavior problem was measured with aggression and delinquency. The result showed that the children in the poverty were exposed to greater risks than children in non-poverty. Cumulative risk factors were positively related to children’s aggression and delinquency in the poverty, however, the relationship was shown with aggression among children in the non-poverty. In addition, the higher level of cumulative risk factors was related to the higher level of children’s behavior problem in poverty, but such relationship did not appear among children in the non-poverty. The study suggested future research directions and practical implications in order to reduce or to relieve behavior problems among children in the poverty.
