There are many adverbs in Chinese and Korean that are very similar in meaning but have a lot of differences. From the existing research results, there is a lack of research on their fundamental semantics. The object of this study is the comparison for the structure of Chinese adverb ‘好好兒+V’ and Korean adverb ‘잘+V’ . First of all, this article compares the semantics of ‘好好兒’ and ‘잘’. Through the commentary in the Chinese dictionary and the Korean dictionary, we can see that ‘好好兒’ and ‘잘’ can both express subjective, and this subjectivity is positive and subjective majority. But in the semantics, the two words are still very different: first, ‘好好兒’ can only modify the action process, whereas Korean ‘잘’ can modify the results of the action; second, Korean ‘잘’ can express not only subjectivity, but also objectivity, that is, the frequency and manner. Secondly, this paper discusses the characteristics of the predicate center. It finds that the verbs in ‘好好兒 +V’ are controllable verbs, which mean that the performer of the action can control and impose this action, but the verbs in the Korean ‘잘’ can not only be controllable verbs, but also non-controllable verbs. In this regard, this paper argues that because ‘好好兒’ is only subjective, or that it is highly subjective, its following verbs can only be controllable verbs that can be controlled by subjective will, but ‘잘’ can express both subjective and non-subjective, so the verb below can be either a controllable verb dominated by subjective consciousness or a non-controllable verb. This indicates that the semantics of adverbs are inextricably linked with the semantics of verbs used together. This paper only discusses the semantic differences and the characteristics of predicate centers in ‘好好兒’ and ‘잘’. On the basis of the research results of this paper, the semantic corresponding relationship between ‘好好兒’ and ‘잘’ will be analyzed by using parallel corpus.
