This study tries to consider works of Jung-ho Park, the 2nd generation writer of Korean resident in Japan. through focusing his work, especially 『Return』, will be an apportunity to consider national history of the Korean residents in Japan and to secure diversity about literary researches of Korean residents in Japan. The work of art, 『Return』, recorded all matters of national history of Korean residents in Japan in 1960s to 1980s and concretely present internal inconsistencies of the organization that have been hidden in the meantime.
Like Hanchang Lee"s words, the works of art by Jungho Park, especially the work of art 『Return』clearly showed the writer"s desire to try to embrace the whole of national history of Korean residents in Japan beyond individual history of the second-generation Korean resident in Japan. And this is embodied by distancing itself from critical eyes and characters that penetrate the work of art objectively as mentioned above. And the work of art 『Return』plays a transitional role in the turbulent era of the Korean residents in Japan in the late 1980s. The consciousness shift about their identity, clear awareness about "the settlement", and consideration about their homeland and nation can be the parts that well show this.
Like this, the work of art, 『Return』plays the hierarchial role that presents national history of Korean residents in Japan and problems in them in the time of the late 1980s and connects Kore to their society in turbulent era. And furthermore, it can be the work of art that can make readers improve the existing awareness of the theory of Korean residents in Japan.
