The purpose of this study is to appropriately improve programs of senior welfare center by means of analyzing the consumers` needs to senior welfare center in order to contribute to promotion of social welfare for the elderly in Korea. The main contents of this study are to research consumers` needs to programs of senior welfare center, examine the present situations and satisfaction of program utilization to consumers, and present plans for improvement of programs in senior welfare center. The results of this study are the following: Firstly, programs of senior welfare center must be practiced according to priority because the elderly making use of senior welfare center have their several favorite services. Senior welfare center has to give the elderly more programs in order to improve welfare to the elderly. Secondly, if possible, programs must be divided according to sex, age, academic background, health, and the level of living. It is important that programs for the elderly are developed and spread. And senior welfare center prepares finances, facilities, space, and professionals in order to provide appropriate programs for the elderly. Thirdly, senior welfare center must provide home helps, home nursing, home health care, home physical treatment, meals and wheels, home washing, and housing repair for the elderly in community. If programs of senior welfare center are effectively provided for the elderly, they will greatly contribute to the advancement of welfare for the elderly.
