The purpose of this study was to develop medicinal food design specialist curriculum. Medicinal food design specialist job analysis was analyzed by DACUM (Developing A Curriculum) method. Based on this, the study analyzed the importance of work and education need for the job, and the core work of the job was derived from the verification work of medicinal food design specialist fieldword specialists. The results of this study are summarized and the necessary subjects are presented in the course of medicinal food design specialist training. The DACUM committee consisted of 13 experts in the medicinal food design specialist field and 9 job areas were derived from job analysis. A total of 150 subordinate tasks were derived. In order to verify the job analysis results obtained through the DACUM committee"s workshop, this study analyzed the need for job criticality and educational need for 32 job practitioners. Data collection was conducted from February 12nd to 19th, 2018. As a result of the analysis, there were statistically significant differences (p<0.05) in total of 22 items, such as understanding the specific constitutional requirement of the customer. All other items were not statistically significant. The results of the analysis show that the value of (+) is 108 and the value of (-) is 42 among 150 work items. In other words, there is a discrepancy between the job importance and the educational need. Therefore, by analyzing the evaluation results between the job importance and the educational need of such jobs, the core work for the job was derived by analyzing the job domain and the priority according to the job and consisted of theoretical subject (8) and practical subject (8).
