This study has been delivered to review and investigate major motives regarding critical benefits, life aspect meaningfulness, and life quality for living in mobile mini size homes and cottage complex in early old life, in small cities of rural counties in Canada. We review benefits and meaningfulness of living in the small housing units regarding health care, part time work and business chance, and social welfare benefits in old life.
Primarily, the motives and life benefits living there among the early older adults are because the mobile or cottage home sites are located near in the senior zone, or in other word called elderly concentrated zones in ontario State of Canada. First of all, the Senior Zone is defined as a district or entire small city declared as a special place of intensified old aged people and thereafter, the city councils offer safety and welfare measures for these outnumbered elderly dwellers. The ordinary elderly people living at insufficient social activities and cultural convenience in rural county area in Canada, improve their life quality independently by liquidations their previous residences and moving into somewhat urbanized vicinity, where elderly population is significantly in the senoir zones higher than other ordinary township.
In this study, the residential decision process is within a recurrent cycle where a couple moving into a cottage cluster explained strong benefits living there, and thereafter encourage consequent mobility of their former neighboring elderly, and therefore consequent and continuous mobility to a cabin or cottage complex finally form a complexity of familiar peer group society at lowered housing society. Regarding the new results, the movers felt that their life at newly moved small mobile housing clusters are 〈quiet and humble life change〉, 〈pastoral life initiates at the front door way〉, and 〈easily accessible welfare and health services for the elderly around the senior zone cities〉. Overall in the study, it has been proposed that a cluster model of early elderly at a low cost housing complex be introduced in Korea for low income urban elderly so that low income classified group in urban ares can initiated a new life style of low cost and pastoral life in small and medium cities near rural counties o Kf orea.
