This study is to explore senior housing environment and daily lives in the cottage cluster in rural counties of Canada, and five senior zoned cottage clusters of Ontario State were investigated and elderly residents and service workers were asked about motive elements and the elderly residents" lives. The older cottage dwellers feel emotional comfort, experience business opportunities, and expand their social integration. The cottage lives are also occasionally negatively influenced by unbalanced concentrations of nursing centers and funeral homes, and their social integrations are occasionally disrupted by too much attentions and service programs toward the elderly convenience. It is proposed that nationwide survey cooperation system among governmental agencies need to be formed in integrated long term master plans for establishing traditional rural town with independent housing districts. Finally, the integrated cooperative works need to be done in order to predict suitable locations for senior zones, and a few model towns need to be initiated as a measure of evaluating cottage senior life adaptation process.
