The purpose of this study was to analyze the demographic characteristics, travel motivation and satisfaction of visitors to Gwangju Lake Ecology Park in Gwangju Metropolitan City to understand the characteristics of visitors using eco - tourism sites located in metropolitan areas.
The survey was conducted on the field through 1: 1 interviews with visitors who visited the site, and experts meeting methods were also conducted.
Most of the visitors who visited the site tended to visit nearby tourist sites while enjoying the beautiful nature with their family, friends, lovers and coworkers.
Among the impacts of ecotourism on urban values, the awareness of the visitors about the preservation of the natural environment through environmental preservation and the contribution to the revitalization of the local economy through the use of lodging, food and beverages and specialty stores near the ecotourism sites and ecotourism located in the metropolitan area, As a result of analyzing the effect of urban residents on self - esteem and psychological stability, they were found to be static in general.
