Purpose: This study is to evaluate the building energy performance of the detached house standard model depending on the application of the different kinds of energy conservation measures such as the double glazing window, internal insulation reinforcement, the high efficiency boiler, and LED lightings, etc. Method: The building energy consumption and savings of each energy conservation measure is analyzed making use of the dynamic building energy simulation. When it comes to the importance analysis of energy conservation measures, the payback period and life cycle cost are used in this research to set the priority according to the yearly energy saving rate and initial investment. Result: It appears that replacing the existing boiler with high efficiency oil-fired condensing boiler and repairing a building with thicker internal insulation are effective ways to save not only energy usage but also energy cost. It would probably be beneficial for the stakeholder who are related to small-scaled urban regeneration projects such as owners, administrators, specialists, urban regeneration support centers to consider both passive and active systems simultaneously within limited budget.
