Report Errors
[Purpose] The performance measurement system(PMS) is a system that measures the performance and guides and manages the various aspects of the organization members` behaviors in order to achieve the organization goals. PMS is a system that motivates the members of the organization, skills, ideas, and so on to gain new ideas and keep them in mind for products and services or processes. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of the interactive use of PMS on job performance and its mediating role in psychological empowerment and creativity.
[Methodology] The questionnaire items were constructed with reference to previous studies, and the data were collected from R&D department of a company listed on the exchange. A total of 91 questionnaires were collected and hypothesis testing was performed using the path coefficients of the PLS.
[Findings] The results of hypothesis testing using PLS are as follows. Psychological empowerment has played a mediating role in the relationship between interactive use of PMS and creativity. Creativity also plays a mediator role in psychological empowerment and job performance. It is interpreted that psychological empowerment improves job performance because creativity exists.
[Implications] Control and creativity can co-exist together, and control contributes to creativity. Also, psychological empowerment plays a very important role in promoting creativity and job performance.
