The Multicultural Family Support Center has grown and expanded along with Korea"s multicultural policy. The Multicultural Family Support Center, which was established and operated since 2006, is the main contact point of multicultural policy and one of the representative enforcement systems of multicultural field. This study focused on multicultural family support center workers as a policy actor who executes policy at the edge of multicultural policy.
In particular, the government wanted to verify whether their perception (value of racism, multicultural capacity) affected the quality of multicultural public services. The results of the empirical research are as follows. First, attitude of social dominance orientation, that is, the hierarchical order of the group, is high. On the other hand, it was found that the perceived level of multicultural awareness was high. This suggests that there is a double standard of discrimination against marriage immigrants apart from the understanding and empathy of the individual"s cultural diversity. Also, it was confirmed that the attitude of racial discrimination of the employees has a direct influence on the multicultural competence and the quality of service of multicultural policy. The mediating effect of multicultural knowledge skill on the relationship between attitude of racial discrimination and multicultural policy service quality was found. Therefore, the need for multicultural education is needed to raise the level of multicultural knowledge and skills of workers in the Multicultural Family Support Center and to narrow the gap of recognition in the actual field.
