Report Errors
For a successful urban regeneration policy, it is important to know trends and features of urban decline. This research selected 35 indicators in 3 domains of population and society, industry and economy, and physical environment. It also evaluated and compared cities?decline, and identified features in urban decline based on Multiple Decline Index and top indicators. Most of declined cities were small cities in Gangwon, Kyungbuk, and Jeonbuk Provinces. Cities with strong fundamentals in the domain of industry and economy maintained vitality in other domains, which implied the importance of the domain of industry and economy in urban regeneration policy.
