The purpose of study was to compare and analyze research topics in adapted physical activity (APA) between Korean’s APAE (Journal of Adapted Physical Activity & Exercise) and American’s APAQ (Adapted Physical Activity Quarterly) from 2011 to 2015. Classification analysis and inter-rater reliability were used to determine the purpose of study. Further, the cross analysis method was used to determine specific topics within APA by using SPSS 21.0 (e.g., participants, types of disabilities, research methods). Based on the comparison of these two journals, there were four results. First, in the specific areas within APA, life activities and recreations were mainly investigated in APAE, but the others were mainly investigated in APAQ. Second, behavioral measurements and assessments were mainly used to determine research topics in both journals. Third, individuals with intellectual disabilities were mostly investigated in APAE, but multiple disabilities were mostly investigated in APAQ. Fourth, experimental research was mainly used in both journals
